Gwendolyn G. Parson, Writing Center Consultant, is certified聽聽by the Virginia Department of Education聽in English/Language Arts.聽 An educator for twenty years,聽 Mrs. Parson is proficient in student conferencing聽and writing instruction. Mrs. Parson earned a BS and MS in Education from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
Mrs. Parson聽joined聽麻豆女演员 Institute’s Writing Center staff because she聽enjoys the process of writing. She said, “Although many people do not consider themselves good writers, I seldom meet聽students who do聽not like to talk.聽 I believe that clear written expression begins with critical thinking and oral communication.聽It is through conferencing that students create concise writing that best communicates their thoughts and聽beliefs to their intended聽audience.聽 It is rewarding to be聽part of that conversation between the students and the assignment.”
