- Upcoming BOV Meeting: The Â鶹ŮÑÝÔ± Institute Board of Visitors Audit, Finance, and Planning Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, June 1, 2026, beginning at 4 p.m. The meeting will be conducted virtually using video conferencing technology. VMI business will be discussed by participating members.

Deibel Selected as NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellow
The National Academy of Education (NAEd), an honorary educational society, has selected Maj. Zachary Deibel, assistant professor in the Department of History at Â鶹ŮÑÝÔ± Institute, as a 2026 NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellow.

Abdelhamid Selected as Nielsen Center Fellow
Sherif Abdelhamid, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences and team member of the Cyber Defense Lab at VMI, has been selected as a 2026-27 Nielsen Center fellow, a prestigious national fellowship awarded by the Nielsen Center.
VMI Theatre to Hold Auditions
The VMI Community Theatre will hold auditions for its summer show, “The Odd Couple,” female version, Monday, June 1; Tuesday, June 2; Wednesday, June 3; and Thursday, June 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Gillis Theater located in Marshall Hall on post.
